Design of Nonbinary Error Correction Codes With a Maximum Run-Length Constraint to Correct a Single Insertion or Deletion Error for DNA Storage

Due to the advantages of high information densities and longevity, DNA storage systems have begun attract a lot attention. However, common obstacles are caused by insertion, deletion, substitution errors occurring in synthesis sequencing. In this paper, we first explain method convert binary data into general maximum run-length $r$ sequences with specific length construction, which can be used as message sequence our proposed code. Then, propose new single insertion/deletion nonbinary systematic error correction code its corresponding encoding algorithm. For code, design fixed parity three. Additionally, last symbol always different. Hence, overall output codeword is guaranteed three when Finally, determine feasibility algorithm, verify successful decoding occurs codeword, present comparison results relevant works.
